Breathe in full - the spa power of Ustka
The sea air saturated with iodine, the soothing sound of the waves and the breeze carrying with it the smell of salt make every day at the Baltic Sea act like a natural cure. That's why this place has for years enjoyed a reputation as one of the most valuable health resorts in Pomerania.
The power of the Baltic hidden in the air
Walking along the seaside promenade, you can feel the difference almost immediately - the air is thick with sea spray, and each deeper breath is soothing and energizing. Waves crashing on the shore release iodine particles that penetrate the body, strengthening immunity and supporting thyroid function. For many people, such "walking therapies" are the best cure for fatigue, decreased concentration or weakened condition.
Ustka and its unique microclimate
On the map of Poland it is difficult to find a place with such a harmonious combination of forests, beaches and open sea. It is the latter that is responsible for the specific microclimate of Ustka - mild in summer, and in winter saturated with iodine in concentrations that are in vain to find in large cities. Most of this element is in the air from October to March, when the sea is agitated and the wind spreads drops of salty water far inland.
The highest concentration of iodine is found in a strip up to about 300 meters from the shore - this is where walks and deep breaths have the greatest health value.
Iodine - the element of balance and natural therapy
Although invisible, its effect cannot be overestimated. Iodine supports hormonal balance, regulates metabolism and helps maintain the body's natural rhythm. Regular contact with sea air improves concentration, facilitates restful sleep and restores vitality.
Iodine treatment is especially recommended for people with hypothyroidism, respiratory problems (asthma, chronic sinusitis, allergies) and those who want to strengthen immunity. Iodine also has a prophylactic effect - it protects the body from infections and helps to recover faster from illnesses.
Activities that complement a spa stay
Ustka offers much more than coastal walks. It's worth taking advantage of the bike trails leading along the coast and through the pine forests - physical exertion surrounded by iodine-rich air acts as an intense inhalation. Nordic walking, jogging on the beach or quiet breathing exercises done right at the shoreline are also excellent additions. Days spent at the resort can also be spiced up with a visit to the brine graduation towers, sauna sessions or salt baths, which further promote immunity and regeneration.
A place where breathing becomes a ritual
Ustka is a place where our body can calm down. We learn anew how to live in balance with nature, when the days go on with their own rhythm - calm, harmonious, unhurried.
Villa Red is a space where comfort meets the spa atmosphere of Ustka. Just open the window and take a deep breath to feel that health really begins at the sea.
