Ustka - a popular bathing resort on the Baltic Sea past and present

Ustka's history dates back to the 14th century, when the town was known as Stolpmünde. For centuries its development has been linked to fishing, sailing and tourism - three pillars are symbolically represented by the town's coat of arms.
The first tourists began to visit Ustka as early as 1832. It was for them that baths, a seaside promenade (1875) and a railroad connection were built, which opened the resort to the world. Until 1945, most visitors came here from Berlin, Saxony and Silesia.
Today, Ustka is a modern bathing resort and a vibrant holiday destination. Often referred to as the "Summer Capital of Poland," it attracts tourists with its beautiful beaches, rich history and unique seaside climate.
